Fixture Changes
Throughout the history of the game, there have been fixture changes after first publication. Wars & weather mainly! Nothing quite like the new Fixture for Season 2020 which was created post COVID19, but changes nonetheless!
We at the Blueseum have decided to maintain chronological order of games played as best we can. As a result, the Blueseum has modified the game order of 4 seasons - 1900, 1903, 1931 and 1979 - to ensure that we are presenting a consistent approach to the fixtures of the respective years.
The reasons for each change to the fixture are different for each Season, and include weather, train strikes (preventing travel to Geelong!) and disputes between the State Government of Victoria and the VFL / AFL.
For those interested, you can access each of the respective Fixture Change pages below:
1900 | 1903 | 1931 | 1979 | 2020 - COVID19
