Draftee Tayla McMillan realised a dream when she was selected by her childhood club in the 2025 Telstra AFL Women’s Draft. Growing up a Bluebagger, McMillan arrived at IKON Park when Carlton called out her name in the second round, welcoming an inside midfielder who starred in her draft season. As an under-18 All Australian, co-captain of Vic Metro and best on ground in the Talent League Grand Final, McMillan idolised Patrick Cripps and Chris Judd growing up, while modelling her game on now teammate and locker buddy, Keeley Sherar.
