Jack Ison made Carlton history in 2025, when he became the Blues’ first Next Generation Academy recruit selected in the national draft at pick #47. A product of the Carlton Academy, Ison is a proud Yorta Yorta and Wiradjuri man who played his football for the Oakleigh Chargers prior to officially becoming a Blue. Possessing x-factor in abundance as a dangerous target forward of the ball, as part of a draft class where he was welcomed alongside fellow Carlton Academy alumni Harry Dean. Ison formed a close relationship with Jesse Motlop even prior to officially becoming a Carlton player, while he was teammates with Cooper Lord and Jagga Smith at Scotch College.

Recruited from: Oakleigh U/18s' / Scotch College / Parkside JFC
