Game Review
Not only did Carlton chalk up another win - we unleashed a young "Molly" Meldrum - beginning a stellar career that would provide many highlights over the ensuing decade.
Carlton's tough little rover Jim Buckley received a best on ground for his sterling efforts against Melbourne on Saturday. Playing on the wing, Buckley generated many attacking moves for the Blues and gained the initiative for his side. - Inside Football Player of the Year.
