Game Review

Ken Baxter, Paul Schmidt and 'Mickey' Crisp kicked 21 goals between them as the Blues smashed the Bulldogs at Princes Park. The win boosted Carlton's already-healthy percentage, but still couldn't prise open the door to the top four.

At the end of this round Carlton were in 5th spot on the ladder with a percentage of 120.7.

Footnote

.* The original Blueseum match review said Schmidt and Baxter both kicked 8 goals with Crisp kicking 5. The Age and The Argus report said Schmidt 9, Baxter 8, Crisp 4

"Although he did not do much until the last quarter, Keith Rae, Carlton's acquistion from Williamstown, showed he should develop into a fine League footballer. In the centre against Collins of Footscray, he did quite a good job." (Sun News-Pic. Aug 07 p36)
