Peter Greaves played reserve grade football for Carlton in 1966 as part of the teams supplementary list. He was named in the best players in the Round 4 game against Essendon.

Greaves was recruited from Rosebud FC. We have been informed by family that Peter's sign on bonus was two Pelaco business shirts, this was shortly after the family was visited for dinner by none other than newly appointed Club President, George Harris himself.

He did not manage a Senior game for Carlton.

After leaving Carlton, Peter would go on to play seniors football for Box Hill Football club over several seasons and also Coach the Box Hill Thirds (U19s) to the 1968 V.F.A. (Division Two) Premiership. This was the club's first ever premiership in any grade of football and happened in a year of severe financial stress for the club. Box Hill went on to become one of the most powerful non-VFL/AFL clubs in Victoria.

Peter passed away in 2018 at the age of 70.
