Carlton entered season 2015 with 4 retained rookies, three having played senior football in the prior year. The retained rookies were; Cameron Wood, Blaine Johnson, Ciaran Sheehan and Ciaran Byrne.
The Blues would make the following selections with their selections of this Draft:
Pick 6: Billy Gowers, Oakleigh Chargers
Pick 24: Bradley Walsh, Peel Thunder
Pick 41: Tom Fields, South Adelaide
Pick 58: Fraser Russell, (Category B), Geelong Falcons
Promotions started early when Byrne was promoted to cover the LTI to Cameron Giles. Given our horrific run with injuries, Johnson, Wood, Byrne, Fields and Walsh all played senior football.
Alas, in the aftermath of a terrible year, only Gowers, Wood, Byrne and Sheehan survived the year.
NB Please note that for the purposes of the Blueseum, we have called the Rookie Draft at the end of the 2014 year, the 2015 Rookie Draft, given that Draft provided rookies for the 2015 playing year.
