2015 Rookie Draft
Carlton entered season 2016 with 4 retained rookies: Billy Gowers, Cameron Wood, Ciaran Byrne and Ciaran Sheehan. Given other list movements, we would only have three selections in the draft (but passed on the last):
The Blues would make the following selections with their selections of this Draft:
Pick 1: Jesse Glass-McCasker, Swan Districts (WAFL) / Bassendean FC (WA)
Pick 19: Andrew Gallucci, Williamstown (VFL) / Calder Cannons U/18's / Strathmore
Pick 37: Pass
In addition, the Blues had signed up Matt Korcheck as a Category B International Rookie.
Early in 2016, new Blue Harry McKay would suffer a back stress fracture and be placed on the LTI List. In Round 9, 2016, Cameron Wood was promoted in to McKay's list place as an emergency for the game.
NB Please note that for the purposes of the Blueseum, we have called the Rookie Draft at the end of the 2015 year, the 2016 Rookie Draft, given that Draft provided rookies for the 2016 playing year.
