2001 Rookie List
From Blueseum - History of the Carlton Football Club
Carlton commenced Season 2001 with Jordan Doering retained on the Rookie List, and selected the following Blues in the 2000 - 01 Rookie Draft:
Pick 14 : Ian Prendergast, Carlton / Oakleigh Chargers
Pick 30 : Tim Fleming, Old Xaverians
Pick 43 : Jim Plunkett, Western Bulldogs
Both Prendergast and Plunkett, who had each been on AFL Lists previously (ours and the 'Dogs respectively), were promoted at the end of 2001, whilst Doering was again retained as a Rookie.
NB Please note that for the purposes of the Blueseum, we have called the Rookie Draft at the end of the 2000 year, the 2001 Rookie Draft, given that Draft provided rookies for the 2000 playing year.
