Kevin Polkinghorne played reserve-grade football in 1964.
Polkinghorne was a half-forward flanker recruited from North Ballarat.
Carlton had chased Polkinghorne for several years before he trialled with the Blues in 1964.
In a bizarre twist of events, Polkinghorne played in a practice match with North Melbourne during the 1965 practice matches. He had already played in two matches for the Blues before this.
He didn't manage to play a senior game for Carlton.
